Who we are

More than just numbers

We are a remote team, spread across four states, but it honestly feels more like family. We have learned to grow and work together remotely, sharing our love for the great outdoors, quality output, and helping others succeed.

Meet our team

Rachel Smith, CPA

Founder & Director

Rachel Smith was introduced to the wine industry in 2006 when she moved to Chelan to start an organic vegetable farm and market.  As events had it, she also ended up helping establish a small family winery on the south shore of Lake Chelan.  As a farm and wine entrepreneur, Rachel learned to love the business of management.

The wine industry proved the perfect nexus of agriculture, art, and entrepreneurship. She returned to graduate school to expand her accounting knowledge and earn her CPA credential.

In 2017, Rachel joined with Chelan native Rachael Goldie to found a remote bookkeeping company under the name Books on Point.  In 2023, Books on Point made the commitment to focus exclusively on wineries and rebranded as Northwest Wine Accounting.

Rachel studied at the University of Chicago, North Seattle College, and Sonoma State University. Outside of work, she loves classical music education, reading and research, getting in the mountains, cycling, and games and puzzles of all sorts. She is mom to two amazing girls.

Chelsea Stamp

Client Controller

Chelsea grew up in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY, where her parents ran a motel and restaurant on Seneca Lake, giving her an appreciation for small businesses and the hospitality industry. She earned a BS in Accounting at a small local college and an MBA from the University at Buffalo. After moving to Boston for an audit associate position at PwC, she realized public accounting wasn’t for her and left after passing her CPA exams. She traveled to Australia, where she worked at a bed and breakfast while her boyfriend interned for a harvest.

Upon returning, she worked at a smaller accounting firm, then as the Controller at a local hospital. She married into a winery family and built a timber frame home with her husband. After transitioning to a business manager role at a different winery, she took some time off after having a son and later decided to seek a new challenge, which led her to her current position.

Heather Gilchrist

Client Controller

Heather is an experienced accounting professional with over 20 years of hands-on expertise supporting businesses through every stage of their financial journey. After earning her degree in Accounting from UNC Charlotte, she began her career at a manufacturing company, where she played a key role in developing and refining their internal accounting processes. She later transitioned into a multi-client accounting firm, where she advanced into a leadership role and built a streamlined onboarding program to improve efficiency and client experience. Known for her attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and collaborative spirit, Heather thrives on helping business owners feel more confident and in control of their finances.

Originally from a small town in North Carolina, Heather now lives just outside of Charlotte with her husband and two children. She enjoys the simplicity and balance of small-town life—spending weekends camping, cheering on her kids at their sporting events, or soaking in the outdoors. A wine enthusiast with a genuine appreciation for the craft, Heather is excited to combine her love of wine with her accounting expertise through her work at Northwest Wine Accounting. She brings a grounded, dependable presence to every client relationship, always focused on clarity, trust, and practical support.

Isabel Kitchen

Staff Accountant

Isabel was born in Colombia and moved to the United States when she was ten years old. She began her career in the culinary arts, spending over a decade working as a pastry chef in high-end restaurants in Beverly Hills and later in Portland, Oregon. While she loved the creativity of the kitchen, she found herself most drawn to the administrative, financial, and organizational side of running a business.

That curiosity led her back to school to pursue a degree in accounting at Eastern Oregon University. Today, Isabel combines her eye for detail with her passion for building meaningful connections. She believes client relationships are the most important part of her work and takes pride in getting to know her clients and their businesses on a genuine level.

Taylor Rebora

Taylor Rebora

Staff Accountant

Born and raised in Chicago, Taylor got her start in the wine industry working in production and hospitality at an urban winery. This passion led her to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she studied Wine & Viticulture with a concentration in Wine Business. Her studies inspired her to pursue a career in winemaking, which took her across California, New Zealand, South Africa, and eventually Oregon, where she now resides.

Taylor's experience working in wineries gave her an appreciation for the peace of mind that comes with a clear financial picture. Her interest in problem solving sparked her move into accounting, where she could help wineries navigate the business side of their operations. Now pursuing a Master of Science in Finance at Portland State University, she’s focused on strengthening her skills in budgeting, forecasting, and investing to better serve clients. Taylor is dedicated to helping winery owners make finances approachable, gain clarity, and plan with confidence for the future.

Allie Radniecki

Staff Accountant

Allie was born in Sumner, Washington, and raised in a competitive, close-knit family with the motto “how hard could it be?” She moved to Ashland, Oregon to study Psychology and Political Science with the goal of becoming an attorney, but after working in law she realized it was not the right fit. Outside of work, she coaches high school soccer and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, playing soccer, and camping.

Her passion for wine began when she and her partner took on stewardship of a small vineyard and garden, eventually restoring the vines and supplying produce to local restaurants. During this time, she worked in law and later transitioned into a role with a landscaping company that grew into HR, bookkeeping, and accounting. She discovered she loved accounting most, pursued a bookkeeping certificate, and set her sights on combining it with her interest in wine.
